Since 1981, the NYU Stern Entrepreneurship & Startup Association (ESA) has served as the lifeblood of the NYU entrepreneurship community. ESA alumni have taken the practicum gained from our programming to create disruptive start-up organizations, lead game-changing venture capital firms, and earn positions at the most dynamic companies in the world.
ESA's mission is to help students, alumni, and affiliated entrepreneurs achieve entrepreneurial success and career goals. We seek to accomplish this by fostering entrepreneurial curiosity, by providing an energized environment conducive to pursuing entrepreneurial paths, and by providing focused resources, education, networking opportunities, and career guidance to our community.
ESA supports the following four categories of professionals:
FOUNDERS: Students seeking to found and grow their own company
BUILDERS: Students seeking to join an existing emerging company
FUNDERS: Students seeking to join a venture capital firm or other startup financing organization
DISRUPTIVE OPERATORS: Students seeking to bring innovative ideas, products, and services to market at established firms
